Today, most of us carry mobile gadgets and we have access to the internet. This is what makes eBooks so attractive since you can carry as many as you want with you without having to add to your luggage. EBooks are the most convenient way of traveling around with books and accessing them wherever you are without much of a struggle.
Advantages of using eBooks
An eBook is always in electronic format. You can download it to your PDA, laptop, Mac, PC, or any other gadget and then read it on your screen. The eBook can have everything that a printed book does. It can have the graphics, pictures and all contents that can be accessed in a print book.
You can download eBooks very easily. Some are sold while others can be downloaded free in PDF format. The only difference, in this case, is that you make the payment and then you are directed to a page for downloading or you can get the link via email. When you click the link, then you will get the download automatically and you can save it for later reading.
EBooks are images, texts, and sometimes video/audio that is packaged into an electronic file. It can be as simple as an MS word file. This means that you may have actually done some eBook publishing. Different formats include PDA, HTML, EXE compiled, PDF and so onepub and PDF are most widely used formats. There are some advantages that are associated with the eBooks.

Low costs for update
An author may need to make some updates to the eBook. For this, you only have to edit the electronic document and then save the new version. You only need to tell the customer of a new release or email them the new version. If you compare this to print book, then you will realize that a lot of money and time are saved.
Multimedia format
This is something that makes the eBooks totally stand out. EBooks can also have images, just like the normal books. However, being able to include video and audio is one of the major highlights of using the eBooks. This means that a reader can actually use an audio version if they do not feel up to reading the book. You can also easily change to different formats. When the flash application is included, then you can interact more with the contents.

Searchable
Most of the books are searchable. With the search button, you can navigate very smoothly through the book and find the pages that have words that you have an interest in. A good example is a physical dictionary and the electronic version.
Shipping costs
It goes without saying; eBooks do not require any shipping. This means you save more. All you need is an internet connection and a link to the book and you are good to go.

Email Marketing Opt-In Forms And Tips

Email marketing is using the power and influence of email. With all of the various ways of communicating including text messaging, the social media channels, and forums, email marketing is about the best way to reach people when they are in their most relaxed state of mind.
Usually when the hardest part of the day is over, or before it has begun, someone will sit down, relax for a while and check their email messages. A nice short message with some niche related content that they might find interesting could get some quality attention from our readers and clicks on our links to our websites.
In this article we'll discuss:
  • What are Opt-in forms
  • Pop-up forms
  • Single vs Double Opt-in
  • Setting up the form
  • Be mobile friendly
  • Preview before going live
What is an Opt-in form?
An Opt-in Form is a type of consent agreement used online between two or more parties acknowledging an interest in a product or service and authorizing the use of email to contact them with further information. When someone submits an opt-in form, they are giving another person permission to send them content like email newsletters, product sales alerts, and other relevant material.
There are a number of different ways to get your opt-in forms in front of website visitors, for example pop-up forms on the home page, landing pages, product pages, and widgets throughout your website.
Double Opt-in method
This is another small step that requires the visitor to confirm by clicking on a link in an email waiting in their inbox. This added step will reduce the number of sign-ups but will usually increase the quality of those that submit their email address.
Pop-up forms
Pop-up forms are created so that your website visitors and customers can conveniently and easily sign up for your email list. They sometimes can be negatively viewed due to improper usage and be seen as more of a nuisance. I have left many websites because when I'm trying to read a nice post a pop-up(s) keeps popping up!
It's important to be mindful of your audience which comes to check out some of your quality article content and not to sign up for anything.
Be more subtle with pop-ups and don't overuse them or repeatedly disturb the viewers as they try to read your article post. When they are used wisely pop-ups can certainly enhance viewer browsing experience and help get more sign-ups and in turn more engagement and potential sales.

Choose the right opt-in
When you're setting up the autoresponder and creating a pop-up you'll have a choice to select either single opt-in or double opt-in. As mentioned above the single makes it one easy step for those signing up and the double opt-in will produce a slightly lower number of sign-ups but they will be a more interested group.
Setting up the opt-in form
When setting up the opt-in form let the viewer know what to expect whether it be a pdf, eBook, tutorial video, etc. The purpose and frequency of email contacts can also be stated, daily, weekly, monthly, or occasionally.
An example of a short message could be "Sign-up for product updates in your mailbox" or "Sign up to receive our weekly specials and updates".
Be mobile friendly
It's important to optimize the form for mobile users phones. More and more the audience is viewing on a smartphone and pop-ups can be quite annoying and chase away the readers. Most autoresponders are mobile friendly by default so that the audience can easily submit their email addresses to your list from any device.
Use a short form
Don't use a long subscribe form asking for more viewer information than is necessary as people will shy away from giving away the info or the time to fill out the form. The shorter is always better and if possible an opt-in form just asking for the viewers email address is best used and most responded to.
Test it out - Preview
Be sure to test out or preview your efforts before the opt-in goes live to the audience, making sure that everything is working fine. You can make adjustments as needed to serve the viewing audience with the best experience possible.
Another thing that is very important is to be sure to leave an encouraging, exhorting call-to-action that moves people to finish the sign-up process.
Give a warm welcome
When setting up the autoresponder you can make the viewers first autoresponse a special warm welcome for signing up to your list. A discount or a free gift, video, pdf helps soften the reader's heart to open your emails. It's a great idea to get into the habit of thinking ahead so that you don't run out of content for next week's mailing.

How to Blog Without Breaking the Law

6 Important Legal Issues Bloggers Need to be Aware of
Whether you write about your financial services or your travel destinations, you want current and potential clients or followers to find your website, get all the info they need and choose you over your competitors.
Regardless of the size of your audience or the type of information your website provides, you need to stay informed if you want to avoid legal issues for bloggers.
What you say online can be used against you!

Here are 6 ways bloggers can stay on the right side of the law:
1. Disclose any material relationship with a brand or advertiser.
Don't pretend that you're not being paid to write a branded post or talk about a new product.
Some examples of products or services you should disclose in a related article include:
• Free tickets to a game or concert
• Products or services you've been asked to review
• Gifts from companies
In addition to helping you blog without breaking the law, disclosure also help you build and maintain trust with your audience - it makes good sense all around.
2. Avoid making promises.
You're bound by law to talk about what people can generally expect rather than to make outrageous claims. You can't tell people they're going to lose 10 pounds overnight by drinking a brand's tea or look 15 years younger by using a special cream.
It doesn't work to put a "results not typical" disclaimer in the fine print, either. In most cases the company will be the defendant of a consumer-driven class-action suit, but you could still be singled out by unhappy clients or even named in a lawsuit.
3. Understand copyright laws.
These protect the original creator of a work - from text and images to audio clips. Many bloggers have gotten in big trouble for using content on blogs that they didn't create and didn't ask permission to use.
Your best bet when it comes to finding images, audio and video content is to look for sources that provide royalty-free licensed works or works licensed with Creative Commons licenses.
4. Know the specific laws around your business.
For example, if you're an attorney, it's essential to know that from a legal standpoint, giving advice online is considered practicing of law.
Only a licensed attorney may give legal advice, and he or she must have formed an attorney-client relationship with whomever they're giving it to. You'll need to give your website visitors information that solves their problems without it coming across as legal advice.

5. Respect privacy.
You're not allowed to capture private information about visitors and share or sell that info to a third party unless you have permission. If you do collect data about your audience in any way, you need to let them know in your Privacy Policy.
If you're going to send an email newsletter, make sure you ask people before sending them anything. Also, give them a way to opt-out on every email. Canada's Anti-Spam Law (CASL) and the UK's GDPR makes it the law to do so or potentially face financial consequences.
6. Watch what you say.
Many site owners write content around their personal experiences and opinions. However, if you publish untrue information about anyone or anything that could negatively affect a reputation publicly, you could be sued for libel.
If you don't have concrete proof that the negative info you're publishing is 100% true, don't publish it.
Ignorance isn't a viable defense when it comes to legal issues for bloggers. No matter what your area of expertise is, it's your responsibility to learn and follow the rules in order to blog without breaking the law.

Improving Your Social Media Profile Quickly and Easily

You have a social media profile for every one of the social media channels that you have joined. You are probably aware of the fact that you must stay on top of your social media profiles once you create them. It isn't enough to simply create the profiles and then leave them alone. If you do that, they won't give anything back to you.
Quick and painless changes to your social media profiles
There are many different tweaks that you can make to your profiles and they don't necessarily have to take a lot of time or effort to accomplish. However, if you make the changes (at least the ones that seem to make sense for your particular business), you will see a significant difference in the way that other people respond to you.
Enhancing your social media profiles will take you very little time and very little effort.

  • Check the sizes of your images on the profiles: When dealing with the images, you will want to make sure that they are optimized (that means each and every one of them). Optimizing them means that you check the specifications of the particular social media channels and you ensure that the dimensions of your photos match those specifications. It will not take you any time at all to verify the dimensions and to make sure that your photos are within those guidelines. You shouldn't necessarily assume that your photos should be perfect squares. That will not necessarily be the case. One good reason why you want to make sure that your photos are up to par is that they may be used (by you or someone else) in other places on the Internet.

  • Make sure that your profile photos are consistent across all of your social media channels: Your photo should be a clean, professional headshot and you should use it on all of your channels. If that means that you need to get your photo taken by a professional, it is probably worth the investment. After all, that photo will be seen by so many people and your photo is a strong representation of who you are. You want people to get used to seeing that photo and associating it with your brand.
  • Untag yourself: If you see that you are tagged in photos in the various social media channels and those photos are either not flattering or just plain inappropriate (or anything in between), there is nothing wrong with untagging yourself (or disassociating yourself) from those photos. Why would you want to be associated with photos that can potentially damage your reputation? You should be aware that some of the more popular social media channels allow you to disassociate quite easily. You will want to check the tags on a regular basis. If you don't keep tabs on the tags, they may do your business some harm.
  • Make sure that your profiles have keywords for optimization: No matter which business you are in, you still need to make sure that all of your content (no matter where you put it) is optimized. The reason that you want to do that is so that people can find you when they are searching for what you happen to be offering. The fact is that you want them to find you before finding anyone else first.
  • Make sure that your profiles are complete: You don't want people to look at your profiles and not be able to see the whole picture. That is just not effective. You can easily avoid that by just paying attention to your profiles and filling in the gaps. It won't take you very long. As you are filling in the missing content, make sure that you make that content as engaging as possible.
  • Connect one social media profile to the others: That is a really good thing to do and it will produce great results. You will want to test the links among the social media profiles. There is nothing more annoying than clicking on a link only to see that nothing happens.

Conclusion
Your social media profiles are an important part of your business and you can't afford to let them stagnate. Using share buttons will help you to keep it interesting. Not only should you fill in all of the fields in your profiles but you should also make sure to update them on a regular basis (but not too frequently). You will want to share all sorts of interesting information (both words and images) so that you hold the interest of your target audience. You always want your content to be fresh, current, and engaging at all times.
